But still, it’s farewell
And maybe we’ll come back
To earth, who can tell?
I guess there is no one to blame
We’re leaving ground (leaving ground)
Will things ever be the same again?
The final countdown
One of the things we still need to fit in the RV. The poor dogs are so confused and upset. Neither of them will let us far out of their sight.
I wrote many words at this desk ( and watched many TV shows while writing which explains all the mistakes…)
This little playroom was a secret hideout for the grandkids. My grandson Jack grew up playing in there. Over the years he went from a Little Tykes table and giant Legos to a twin bed and an iPad. It has been my joy to spend the last thirteen years watching him grow, and now I am looking forward to spending more time with the grandkids I haven’t been able to see as often.
Tonight, we’re sleeping in the RV in front of the house. Tomorrow we’ll finish up the errands we need to run before we leave and then early Wednesday morning we’ll take one last look as we pull away from the home we’ve loved for all these years.
We’re leaving together,
But still, it’s farewell
Yes, it’s farewell. Farewell my house, surround the new family with your warmth and safety.
Farewell my town, you were a good place to live and work.
Farewell, neighbors. You were…..well….some of you were very nice.
Farewell, friends. Thank you for your friendship.
Farewell, my family. We’ll never be far because your love goes with us and ours stays with you.
Remember, when you look at the moon, I’m looking too.
Wishing you joy and happiness in your future endeavors!!!!
Hugs, brave ones!
