In less than three weeks, Driving Dervish Dave and Weeble Wobble Kathy the high strung redhead will take off on The Big Trip.

Aside from our trips to California each month and one or two others, we’ve been stationary here in Las Vegas since we purchased our lot in August and Las Vegas has started to feel like home.  Dervish Dave has been calm, and I haven’t weeble wobbled in months.

On the 24th of March, we will point Bella-BOW east and drive away from home for 5 months.

Just thinking about it makes me feel a little weeble-wobbly and high strung.

Our first destination will be the Newmar factory in Nappanee Indiana where we have an appointment for some warranty work and to have the big body boo-boo fixed.  We are going to take our time getting there, which should keep the dervish in Dave to a minimum and at 200-300 miles a day, Weeble Wobble Kathy should have time for coffee in the mornings.  Newmar will have the coach for approximately three weeks.   Dave, Dallas and I will spend that time in Ohio with our oldest son and family.

Once Bella is all shiny and as good as new we’ll pick her up and spend some time at a campground near the kids in Ohio.   We’ll get to see plenty of grandson baseball games and spend some quality time with them.

Then around the first of June, we’ll head to New York to visit our other son and grandson.   I’m sure it will feel strange to go back to what was home knowing it isn’t home anymore.

The Big Trip will include many different campgrounds and adventures.   I hope to have some fun writing about the things we see.  I’m not sure I’ll be able to top the pig in an RV story, but I look forward to trying.
